The Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities is a multi-use cultural facility operated by the City of Arvada. The Arvada Center is comprised of the Arvada History Museum, three theatres, art galleries, music, dance, and theatre rehearsal rooms, classrooms and a conference center. The Center offers classes in visual and performing arts for people of all ages. The Center also offers a full season of theatrical and musical productions, produced both in-house and by other companies.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance began as a grass-roots organization in 1970. It is now a 501 (c) (3) multi-cultural performing arts organization in Denver, with a long history of serving the needs of the community. Founded with the belief that the language of dance transcends the boundaries of culture, class and age, this institution is committed to bringing dance into the lives of many diverse people. CPRD is composed of a professional modern dance ensemble, year-round dance school, 300 seat theatre, in-school lecture demonstration series, international summer dance institute and outreach program for at-risk youth. In 1999, CPRD became an affiliate of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a resource for informal science education in the Rocky Mountain region. A variety of exhibitions, programs, and activities help museum visitors learn about the natural history of Colorado, Earth, and the universe. The 500,000-square-foot building houses more than one million objects in its collections, including natural history and anthropological materials, as well as archival and library resources. The museum is home to the Gates Planetarium as well as the Phipps IMAX Theatre and holds classes, seminars, and trips for people of all ages.

The Denver Art Museum is known for its collection of Native American Indian art as well as its 68,000 pieces of art from across the world. The museum’s Education Department emphasizes three areas: research in making museum visits successful and enjoyable, the creation of innovative installed learning materials (e.g., audio tours, labeling, video and reading areas, response journals, and hands-on and art-making areas), and interactive learning for young people both in school and family groups. Family-friendly programs such as the Just for Fun Family Center, Eye Spy gallery games, the Discovery Library, Kids Corner, and Family Backpacks are both popular and successful. The Family Backpack program has been adopted and adapted by other institutions, ranging from the Victoria and Albert Museum to the Henry Ford Museum.

Located on the beautiful main campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Fiske features a Zeiss Mark VI optic star projector under the largest planetarium dome between Chicago and Los Angeles. Fiske regularly hosts lectures by noted space scientists, live concerts, teacher workshops, and public programs including the live "Colorado Skies" series and Friday night laser shows. K-12 students are also offered a variety of hands-on science labs as well as scouting workshops for merit awards. Fiske outreach efforts bring the stars to communities throughout Colorado with telescopes, sunspotters, meteorites and a portable planetarium (StarLab). New hands-on exhibits help patrons "see" the invisible while exploring the electromagnetic spectrum. "Science on a Sphere" (developed by NOAA) is a permanent installation that shows Earth and other planetary bodies from the viewpoint of orbiting spacecraft.
