FHM offers optional, tuition-based Before and/or After School Care (BAC) for the convenience of working families.  Advance registration is required as spaces are limited and fees are non-refundable. Our Before & After Care Program is licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services: Childcare Division.  Approximately 25% of our students participate in our Before & After Care Program each year.  Tuition for this program is separate from and in addition to costs for any other programs.

Morning and After Care Operating hours are 7:30am - Start of School for Morning and End of School Dismissal - 5:30pm for After Care.

All of our Before & After Care staff members are employees of Free Horizon Montessori and undergo the same hiring process and background checks as required by law.

Morning School Care

(7:30 a.m. – start of school day):  During Morning Care, a myriad of materials and projects are available.  Families may also get breakfast while in Morning Care from Jeffco Food Services. This is a relaxed period where children can unfold slowly into the morning. Families can access an online menu through the Jeffco website or make payments through SchoolCafe. 

Morning Care Drop-in will be allowed on a space-availability basis and with receipt of email confirmation issued by Child Care Director. Contact Ms. Colleen, FHM Child Care Director to schedule drop-in care. Students are invited to drop-in to Morning Care starting at 7:30am.

After School Care

(end of school day - 5:30 p.m.):  Children staying after school may be enrolled in our After Care program.  Activities vary daily, but may include: cooking, tech lab, reading, group games, neighborhood walks and free-choice activities in the classroom.  An afternoon snack (such as cheese and crackers) will be offered during After Care.
